Meet the Founder Amy Kohl
When I started my first business, I’ll be honest, I didn’t really know what I was doing. I was learning everything as I went, making big decisions without the knowledge to back them, and figuring things out the hard way.
I made mistakes that cost me a lot of money and time, and I did it all without anyone to lean on. That was probably the hardest part, the loneliness.
It wasn’t until I gave up my business and moved into a corporate role working in operations for a small business that I truly understood how a business should run. I learnt leadership, marketing, strategy — the fundamentals I’d been missing.
And I remember thinking, this is what I needed years ago.
But more than that, it was the people. The moment I started asking questions, connecting with others and learning from their experiences — everything changed.
And that’s exactly what The Female Founder is built on.
